Snow comes to Campbell River

Depending on where you are in Campbell River, it could be snowing. Reports are coming in that some parts of the city are seeing the white stuff.

In a special weather statement for the east coast of the Island Environment Canada says arctic air is making its way toward the South Coast. That’ll bring gusty winds and rain that could eventually turn into snow in other areas throughout the day. If you’re heading south there are reports of snow-slick roads and a number of accidents along the Comox Valley Parkway.

Environment Canada says higher terrain places are most likely to see the snow but mixed precipitation is possible down to sea level by tomorrow morning. The agency is keeping an eye on things and will issue more updates as needed.
