Leaders’ Debate

It won’t go down as a turning point.

That’s political analyst Allan Warnke’s take on last Thursday’s leaders’ debate.

The NDP’s Tom Mulcair, Liberal Justin Trudeau, and Conservative Stephen Harper squared off on the economy, with Green leader Elizabeth May chiming in via Twitter.

Warnke says the three leaders stayed pretty much on script. He also says May’s use of Twitter probably got some voters taking a closer look.

Warnke predicts though that a turning point could come in this week’s French language debate.

The NDP, Conservative, Liberal, Green and Bloc leaders are all taking part in the September 24 debate.
