Generation Squeeze

The federal election is three weeks today, and a lot of people are wondering about turn-out, especially among younger voters.

UBC professor Paul Kershaw is the founder of “Generation Squeeze”, says they’ve been trying to get young people more engaged in elections at all levels, and trying to get politicians to pay more attention to issues that matter to people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s.

Kershaw says the NDP’s 15-dollar-a-day child care promise is a good example. It’s something Generation Squeeze could support, but the NDP platform says if they’re elected it won’t roll out right away.
