Road closures planned in Campbell River for water, sewer work

The City of Campbell River is advising commuters about road closures taking place this week and next.

A statement from the city said Discovery Drive will be fully closed between Hughes Road and Wood Road today Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The closure will allow crews to complete a water service repair in the area.

The city said local access will remain available and traffic controls will be in place.

Meanwhile, partial road closures will affect Highway 19A between Petersen Road and Tamarac Street today Tuesday, Wednesday and again on March 24 while contractors carry out preparation work for sewer upgrades.

Traffic along that section will move in single, alternating lanes and delays are possible.
