Road painting could cause traffic delays and disruptions

Local roads in Campbell River are getting a fresh coat of paint and the city said it could affect traffic through Friday.

Centre lines and lane dividers will be painted until June 25, and the city said motorists should be mindful of where they park and drive until the work is complete.

“Please avoid parking on the road during these times,” the city said. “Especially on fog lines and bike lanes, to facilitate this work.”

The city said drivers should expect minor traffic delays and follow all signs and detours in place.

Work is scheduled to take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on June 25.
