3-month Campbell River RCMP investigation nets seizure of drugs and cash

Campbell River RCMP executed a search warrant at a home in the 500 block of South Alder Street on July 9, resulting in the seizure of drugs and cash.

Police said members of the Campbell River RCMP Street Crime Unit, general duty, major crime and police dog services carried out the search, following a three-month investigation.

A 62-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman were arrested and later released. Their first court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 5, 2026.

Police said officers seized more than 225 grams of suspected cocaine, 10 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 4.5 kilograms of cannabis and more than $77,000 in cash.

“This is another excellent example of how our investigators are working to remove illicit drugs from the street and hold traffickers accountable,” said Const. Maury Tyre.

Anyone with information about illegal drug trafficking in the area is asked to contact the Campbell River RCMP.
