Fires around Campbell River

Campbell River fire crews responded to over 30 incidents since Friday morning.
Just after midnight on Friday night, a report of smoke in the building on 1921 Coulter Road was called in.

Deputy Fire Chief Thomas Doherty says when crews arrived, light smoke was visible in the structure, but no fire was detected.
Doherty says crews were able to locate the source of the smoke and isolate it with no damage to the property.
Then Saturday night,  the Campbell River fire department responded to a port-a-potty fire in the field at Carihi Secondary.
Doherty says the fire was extinguished quickly and the incident is suspicious in nature.
