Campbell River Fire Rescue was called out to a structure fire on Monday afternoon.
Deputy Chief Chris Vrabel says it was at a house in the 100 block of Alder. He notes that upon arrival, they found people outside and the attached garage on fire. He says the fire did not extend beyond the single garage area.
Vrabel says two of the occupants were taken to hospital to be checked over. The cause has been determined to be accidental.
