Power Down 2 Program supports energy efficiency

The Power Down 2 Program offers support and rebates in three areas to help home owners with making their homes more energy efficient.

Climate and Energy Specialist Cassandra Smith says making homes more energy efficient benefits the entire community. Smith says the program is a 3-pronged program that includes work with BC Hydro.

She notes that building’s account for roughly 23% of the community’s greenhouse gas emissions, and they’re looking to make Campbell River a healthier place to live.

Smith says the rebates are on a first come, first serve basis for residents.
