They Want You… To Join The Volunteer Force!

The Campbell River Fire Department is looking help

Chief Ian Baikie says the department is looking to recruit up to 15 people to serve as auxiliary volunteer firefighters.

“We’ve looked at our numbers, and particularly in our southern station, our numbers have diminished for our auxiliary force. We’re actually trying to increase it (Auxiliary force).”

Baikie notes any interested attendees should attend an orientation session tomorrow night at the Community Centre, where they can learn about the demands and requirements of the position.
