Even though there was rain, the 48th annual Salmon Festival and Logging Sports was a huge success.
Organizer Jim Lilburn says it definitely dropped the fire hazard, and helped the loggers.
Lilburn says the City of Campbell River and many organizations donated a lot to the event. He adds even though it’s not cash, it adds up.
This year’s Logger Sports featured two World Championships and seven Canadian Championships, along with other Open, Intermediate, Novice, Ladies, and Youth and Teen events.
