Storm Crash on Friday

Friday night, the Victoria Cougars came to Campbell River and made a statement. By the five minute mark of the first period, they had staked a five goal lead on their way to a 13-0 finish over the Storm.

Head coach Lee Stone’s comments on the game .

It was one of the most lopsided losses in franchise history. Three Victoria players recorded hat tricks and Campbell Riverite Dom Kolbeins had three points for the Cougars.

The Storm will have to put this game behind them as they have a busy week ahead with a three game set starting next Friday in Peninsula.

Campbell River remains in second spot in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL) North Division, two points back of the Nanaimo Buccaneers with a game in hand.
